After a rest day of shopping, sleeping and stretching we bravely packed our backpacks “for real” this morning and headed off along the road again. Two hours later we arrived at Beach Road Holiday Park, for lunch of scrambled eggs and asparagus in Danny’s pita bread, since this is a gluten day. We took the campsite bikes to tour the “nature reserve”, which was rather underwhelming – but stumbled upon this delightful patch of native bush. Dining on rice, chickpeas, kumara and green beans tonight.
