We didn’t want to eat porridge this morning, but compromised with half a portion. It was an easy 6km walk along a 4WD track to SH94. Surprisingly it took us around 50mins to get a ride. Many vehicles were towing boats and we assumed most were tourists. Eventually a kind family on their way from Gore to Te Anau to visit Nana squeezed us into their car and dropped us by the famous dairy.
I felt nauseous, cold and somewhat jetlagged but managed blue cod and chips for lunch. After checking in at 3pm, showering and doing laundry, I slept until 6.30pm. Then dragged myself to the supermarket and got mussles, potatoes and zuchinni for dinner.

I wish I could. I make Martyn take his hat off when we are hitching. Playing the “elderly” card.
